We’re Anastasia and Liam – a couple united by our shared love of travel, exploration, and experiencing the world in all its wonder. Our ultimate mission? To see every country on Earth and immerse ourselves in as many cultures, landscapes, and adventures as possible. We chose the name ‘Lamingtons & Tea’ because its the perfect recipe for us: an Aussie classic meets a British staple, where every journey feels as comforting as a cuppa and as exciting as the first bite of something new.

From the moment we met, we discovered we had an innate desire to travel and a deep curiosity to understand the world around us. Whether it’s wandering through bustling city streets, hiking remote trails, or delving into the rich history and architecture of ancient cities, we’re always seeking new places and experiences.

What we cherish most is the opportunity to share these experiences. That’s why we created this blog: a way to share our travels, adventures, and lessons learned with others. Whether it’s a long road trip across Europe, a city getaway for a few days, or a trek through reclusive mountains, we’re here to guide you on your next adventure based on our own experiences and research.

•⁃Hello! I’m Anastasia. I’m the ‘Lamington’ in ‘Laminations & Tea’. Im an Australian with Kiwi roots—born in Auckland and raised in sunny Brisbane. In 2023, I made the big move to the UK to pursue my dream career as a paramedic. One of the biggest perks of living here? The unbeatable access to Europe! After years of feeling a little restricted by Australia’s long-haul flights and steep travel costs, I’m now making the most of England’s proximity to so many incredible destinations.

A little about me: back in Australia, I spent my childhood as a gymnast, then horse riding. As I got older, I dove into weightlifting and even competed in cheerleading. While my passions have evolved over time, one thing has stayed constant: my love for adventure and trying new things.

I’m Liam – “tea” half of the duo! I’m a British guy who grew up in the picturesque countryside of Devon. Life started for me with a passion for film studies and live production, which led to starting my own broadcasting business. I specialise in live-streaming conferences, sports, and events—a career that brought me to Surrey, closer to London’s bustling event scene.

But life had other plans. When COVID-19 upended the events industry in 2020, I found a new calling in the ambulance service and began training as a paramedic. It’s been an incredible journey, and now I’m balancing my career with our shared passion for exploring new places and cultures.

Unlike anywhere else we’ve been — its otherworldly landscapes and raw natural beauty are absolutely mesmerising.

Meet our two boy kittens, Vesper and Q, named after the James Bond films! Though they came from different litters at 12 weeks old, they’ve bonded like brothers. Vesper is a bundle of energy—manic, playful, and always up for a cuddle. Q, on the other hand, is the brains of the duo—smart, sweet, and soft-hearted. We love including them in our adventures, from camping trips to watching us play tennis!
